History of the University
Akaki State University was established in 1930 and is one of the most prominent medical universities in Georgia, offering an MBBS/MD program. Admission requirements for Indian & International students
Students have to adhere to the eligibility criteria to get admission to the MBBS course. Details are as follows;
Educational qualification- Aspirants must have scored 60% and above marks in their higher secondary exam from a recognized board.
HSC pass percentage - Required 60% in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Biology and English as a compulsory subject.
Having good command over the English language.
Candidates should be above 17 years of age on, or before 31st December during the year of their admission process.
Migration certificate from school.
NEET qualification- Students must have cleared the NEET exam with an eligible score of fifty percentile. The medical aspirants of the other countries have to check the examination norms and rules of their respective countries.
Having a valid passport
All education & birth certificate to be duly apostle.
Ten identical white background passport size photos (50 mm x 50 mm).

Documents required for student visa to study in Georgia
Following set of original documents is required to apply for student visa;
Valid travel passport with minimum validity of one year.
Admission & invitation letter from the university.
All educational documents & birth certificate to be duly apostle.
Medical fitness certificate by the doctor.
Medical report- Required medical test report of HIV & tuberculosis.
Bank statement of sponsor with minimum balance of USD 5000 or Rupees 4 lakhs.
Ten identical white background passport size photos (50 mm x 50 mm).
After completion of admission process in the university, our consultancy will guide to the student, to obtaining a temporary residence permit. This permit is valid for six years. An HIV / AIDS and some infectious disease test will be done by a Georgian clinic, which is required for the residence permit.
Medical insurance shall be renewed on an annual basis.
