ALTE University, the Association of Language Testers in Europe, was established in 1989 by the Cambridge and Salamanca Universities. It is a private university with more than two decades of experience in the academic domain. The University opened its doors to MBBS education in the year 2018.

The duration of the Medical program MBBS/MD is of six years including one year of internship. The MBBS program at ALTE University aims to develop the learners' practical and theoretical knowledge.

Georgia's ancient and vibrant capital city spreads out on both banks of the Mtkvari River, and is surrounded on three sides by mountains. The most widely accepted variant of the legend of Tbilisi's founding says that in the mid-5th century AD, King Vakhtang I Gorgasali was hunting in the heavily wooded region with a falcon. The King's falcon allegedly caught or injured a pheasant during the hunt, after which both birds fell into a nearby hot spring and died from burns. King Vakhtang became so impressed with the hot springs that he decided to cut down the forest and build a city. The name Tbilisi derives from the Old Georgian word "tbili", meaning warm. Archaeological studies of the region indicate human settlement in the area early as the 4th millennium BC. The city is very safe & peaceful.

Internship and Practice as a Doctor

Indian students can do their internship in India after clearing their NEXT exam and they can pursue their practice after getting an FMGE license.

Admission requirement for Indian & International Students

  1. Educational qualification- Aspirants must have scored 60% and above marks in their higher secondary exam from a recognized board.
  2. HSC pass percentage - Required 60% in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Biology and English as a compulsory subject.
  3. Having good command over the English language
  4. Candidates should be above 17 years of age on, or before 31st December during the year of their admission process.
  5. NEET qualification- Students must have cleared the NEET exam with an eligible score of fifty percentile. The medical aspirants of the other countries have to check the examination norms and rules of their respective countries.
  6. Having a valid passport.
  7. Ten identical white background passport size photos (50 mm x 50 mm).

Documents required for a student visa to study in Georgia

Following sets of original documents are required to apply for the student visa in Georgia:

  1. Valid passport with minimum validity of one year.
  2. Admission & invitation letter from the university.
  3. Birth certificate.
  4. School certificates.
  5. Medical insurance.
  6. Medical fitness certificate by the doctor.
  7. Medical report from the country of origin- HIV & tuberculosis.
  8. Sponsor/Parents last six month of bank statements with minimum balance of USD 5000 or Rupees 4 Lakhs.
  9. Ten identical white background passport size photos (50 mm x 50 mm).
  10. The embassy will issue 6 month valid visa. After completion of admission process in the university, our consultancy will guide to the students in obtaining a temporary residence permit.
  11. Medical insurance shall be renewed on an annual basis.
  12. An HIV/AIDS and some infectious disease test will be done by a Georgian authorised clinic, which is required for the residence permit.

Visa processing time

The processing time of student visa of Georgia takes 60 working days after submitting the visa application file to the embassy.

Following are the steps of admission process:

  1. For the admission & invitation letter from the university, student must send all the scanned documents as required for admission, via email to Sunrise Star Overseas Education Consultancy ( info@sunrisestaroec.com )
  2. Once we will receive the documents, our consultant will review all the documents.
  3. After that, the consultancy will forward all the documents to the university.University will review all the educational credentials & other documents. Once student will be shortlisted by the university, then university will conduct either online entrance test or some time test will be conducted in the university to pursue the MBBS/MD program.
  4. Once student qualify the entrance test, then they are eligible for direct admission to MBBS/MD program, else; they will get an opportunity to enrol in the preparatory course to pursue the MBBS/MD program.
  5. Students will receive an admission confirmation letter within 30 working days.
  6. After the confirmation of admission, university will courier original admission & invitation letter along with visa support letter to Sunrise Star Overseas Education Consultancy.
  7. With the set of documents, our consultant will assist student for visa application to the respective embassy of the country.
  8. The nationals of the foreign countries where there is no Georgian embassy are issued a visa on arrival at the National airport in Tbilisi. For visa on arrival, the medical applicant must show all the above mentioned original set of documents to the airport immigration authority.
  9. After visa approval, Sunrise Star Overseas Education Consultancy will inform to the parents and student about the complete travel plan.
  10. All students must follow the international travel protocol.
  11. Finally the admission process will start, once the student reaches the university
