History of the University
Batume Shota Rustaveli State University was established in 1923 and is one of the most prominent medical universities in Georgia, offering an MBBS/MD course. Academic calendar
- Every year there are two major intakes. First intake process starts in September and winter intake starts in January.

Admission requirements for Indian & International students
Students have to adhere to the eligibility criteria to get admission to the MBBS course. Details are as follows;
- Educational qualification- Aspirants must have scored 60% and above marks in their higher secondary exam from a recognized board.
- HSC pass percentage - Required 60% in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Biology and English as a compulsory subject.
- Having good command over the English language.
- Candidates should be above 17 years of age on, or before 31st December during the year of their admission process.
- Birth certificate.
- Migration certificate from school.
- NEET qualification- Students must have cleared the NEET exam with an eligible score of fifty percentile. The medical aspirants of the other countries have to check the examination norms and rules of their respective countries.
- Having a valid passport
- All education & birth certificate to be duly apostle.
- Ten identical white background passport size photos (50 mm x 50 mm).
- Download the admission form from the website.
- Forward duly filled & signed admission form to the consultancy.
Documents required for student visa to study in Georgia
Following set of original documents are required to apply for student visa in Ukraine:
- Valid travel passport with minimum validity of one year.
- Admission & invitation letter from the university.
- Birth certificate.
- School certificates.
- All education documents & birth certificate.
- Medical insurance.
- Medical fitness certificate by the doctor.
- Medical report- Required medical test report of HIV & tuberculosis.
- Bank statement with minimum balance of USD 4000 or Rupees 3 lakhs.10.
- Ten identical white background passport size photos (50 mm x 50 mm).
- The embassy will issue visa for 90 days. After completing the admission process, our consultancy will guide the students in obtaining a temporary residence permit. This permit is valid for six years. An HIV / AIDS and some infectious disease test will be done by a Ukrainian clinic, which is required for the residence permit.
Visa processing time
The processing time of study visa of Georgia takes 45-60 working days after submitting the visa application file to the embassy.

- University will review all the educational credentials & other documents. Once student will be shortlisted by university, then university will conduct either online entrance test or some time test will be conducted in the university to get admission to MBBS/MD program.
- Once student qualify the entrance test, then they are eligible for direct admission to MBBS/MD program, else; they will get an opportunity to enrol in the preparatory course to pursue the MBBS/MD program.
- Students will receive an admission confirmation letter within 30 working days.
- After the confirmation of admission, university will courier original admission & invitation letter along with visa support letter to Sunrise Star Overseas Education Consultancy.
- With the set of documents, our consultant will assist student for visa application to the respective embassy of the country.
- The nationals of the foreign countries where there is no Georgian embassy are issued a visa on arrival at the National airport in Tbilisi. For visa on arrival, the medical applicant must show all the above mentioned original set of documents to the airport immigration authority.
- After visa approval, Sunrise Star Overseas Education Consultancy will inform to the parents and student about the complete travel plan.
- All students must follow the international travel protocol.
- Finally the admission process will start, once the student reaches the university
