The University of NIS founded in 1965. It is one of the prestigious medical universities in Eastern Europe. There are 14 different faculties- Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of civil engineering & architecture, Faculty of electronic engineering, Faculty of mechanical engineering, Faculty of technology, Faculty of pedagogy, Faculty of economic, Faculty of law, Faculty of science & mathematics, Faculty of electronic, Faculty of occupational safety, Faculty of arts & Faculty of sport & physical education. The university works with the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System).

The faculty of medicine at the university is a great place to study medicine in English. It offers a six year Master Degree including one year of internship..

Academic calendar

1. There are two major intakes. First intake process starts in September and winter intake starts in January.
2. All the admission process starts before three months.

­Admission requirements for Indian & International students

Students have to adhere to the eligibility criteria to get admission to the MBBS/MD course. Details are as follows;

1. Educational qualification- Aspirants must have scored 60% and above marks in their higher secondary exam from a recognized board.
2. HSC pass percentage - Required 60% in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Biology and English as a compulsory subject.
3. Having good command over English language.
4. Candidates should be above 17 years of age on, or before 31^st December during the year of their admission process.
5. Birth certificate.
6. Migration certificate from school.
7. All educational & birth certificate to be duly apostle.
8. The aspirants will have to appear for an online entrance or some time test will be conducted in the university.
9. Once student qualify the entrance test, then they are eligible for direct admission to pursue MBBS/MD program, else; they will get an opportunity to enrol in a three-month preparatory course to pursue MBBS/MD program.
10. NEET qualification- Indian Students must have qualified the NEET exam with an eligible score of fifty percentile. The medical aspirants of the other countries have to check the examination norms and rules of their respective countries.
11. Having a valid passport.
12. Ten identical white background passport size photos (50 mm x 50 mm).
13. Download the admission form from the website.
14. Forward duly filled & signed admission form to the consultancy.

Documents required for student visa to study in Serbia

Following set of original documents are required to apply for student visa in Ukraine:

1. Valid travel passport with minimum validity of one year.
2. Admission & invitation letter from the university.
3. Birth certificate.
4. School certificates.
5. Medical insurance.
6. Medical fitness certificate by the doctor.
7. Medical report- Required medical test report of HIV & tuberculosis.
8. Sponsor bank statement with minimum balance of USD 7000 or Rupees 6 lakhs.
9. Ten identical white background passport size photos (50 mm x 50 mm).
10. The embassy will issue visa for 90 days. After completing the admission process, our consultancy will guide the students in obtaining a temporary residence permit. This permit is valid for six years. An HIV / AIDS and some infectious disease test will be done by a Serbian clinic, which is required for the residence permit.

Visa processing time

1. The processing time of study visa of Serbia takes 45-60working days after submitting the visa application file to the embassy.

Following are the steps of admission process:

1. For the admission & invitation letter from the university student must send all the scanned documents as required for admission, via email to Sunrise Star Overseas Education Consultancy ( info@sunrisestaroec.com)
2. Once we will receive the documents, our consultant will review all the documents.
3. After that, the consultancy will forward all the documents to the university.
4. University will review all the education credentials and other documents. Once student will be shortlisted by the university, then university will conduct either online entrance test or some time test will be conducted in the university.
5. Once student qualify the entrance test, then they are eligible for direct admission to MBBS/MD program, else; they will get an opportunity to enrol in a three-month of preparatory course to pursue the MBBS/MD program.
6. Students will receive an admission confirmation letter within 30 working days.
7. After the confirmation of admission, university will courier original admission & invitation letter along with visa support letter to Sunrise Star Overseas Education Consultancy.
8. With the set of documents, our consultant will assist student for visa application to the respective embassy of the country.
9. The nationals of the foreign countries where there is no Serbian embassy are issued a visa on arrival at the National airport in Belgrade. For visa on arrival, the medical applicant must show all the above mentioned original set of documents to the airport immigration authority.
10. After visa approval, Sunrise Star Overseas Education Consultancy will inform to parents and student about the complete travel plan.
11. All students must follow the international travel protocol.
12. Finally the admission process will start, once the student reaches the university
